Cynthia Winski is a licensed clinical social worker that trained at Syracuse University earning her masters degree in 1985. Later she received additional training at the Beck Institute of Cognitive Therapy Training and earned Diplomate level certification. She is a member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, the South Carolina Society of Clinical Social Workers, the Academy for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy, and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
Clinically, Ms. Winski’s special interests are in treating anxiety and depression. To meet the needs of this population, she incorporates evidence-based practices, supported by the latest research. She is trained in a wide range of techniques including: Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, TEAM Therapy, Self Compassion Theory and the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders.
Ms. Winski provides both individual and couples therapy for a wide variety of issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, OCD, GAD, social anxiety unresolved grief, family conflicts, relationship difficulties, poor self esteem, and general life changes.
