Thinking about psychotherapy?
Are you constantly feeling stressed? Do you experience racing
thoughts? Sleep problems? There are many reasons why people
consider entering into psychotherapy. There may be interpersonal
struggles, problems with life changes, depression, anxiety, grief issues,
or just general feelings of malaise. You may be like many people who
avoid therapy because they view seeking help as a sign of weakness.
The truth of the matter is that we all can benefit from psychotherapy.
Life is complicated and a certain amount of suffering is inevitable.
The primary aim of psychotherapy is to increase the individual’s sense
of self and general well-being. My goal is to help you to gain insights
into the how’s and why’s of your thoughts and feelings, preparing you to
make more conscious decisions in solving life’s problems.
I incorporate evidence based practices, supported by the latest research. I work
hard to provide my clients with a variety of tools that they can later take with
them once therapy is complete.
As an experienced clinician, I am able to draw from a wide range of therapeutic
techniques, including but not limited to: Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Therapy,
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, TEAM Therapy, Relational
Life Therapy, Mindfulness, and Self Compassion Theory.
Together, we can create a toolbox that is specially designed to meet
your individual needs.
